Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Goitrude"
Goitrude, the Doiby Dickles' taxi, tells "her" origin. Of how her first owner was a rich kid who was a speed demon who crashed her, then she was repaired and put into service as an army officer's conveyance during World War I, where she met Doiby Dickles for the first time when he was the officer's driver. After the war ended she passed through the hands of a loving family, then a gangster, then ultimately back into Doiby's hands. Then how Green Lantern and Doiby helped the victims of a racket where young hopefuls looking to break into theater were scammed by disreputable agents. Alan Scott gets the young thespians jobs at a theater and kidnaps a drama critic to get them publicity. Goitrude's wrecked in fighting off the crooks who are trying to get even, but Green Lantern sees to it she's rebuilt good as new.
