Synopsis for Green Lantern: "The Headstrong Heiress"

Donna Daye, the spoiled ward to Apex's main stockholder, decides she wants to work in a glamorous industry like radio, and he gets her a job at the station. There, she immediately becomes infatuated with handsome, intelligent Alan Scott. When she reports for work, Doiby, wearing his improvised Green Lantern costume, tries to warn her against bothering Alan. Only for her cries of distress to reach Alan's ears and prompt him to switch to Green Lantern and phase through the wall to the rescue. Being confronted by two strange men in strange costumes is more than Donna can handle, and she faints. Awakening to realize she's face-to-face with the one and only Green Lantern, Donna decides to arrange to put herself in deadly danger to get him to come and meet up with her again. Donna makes arrangements with a pair of unsavory types, but Doiby's followed along and relays her kidnapping charade back to Alan.

When the fake kidnapping starts Green Lantern does show up, but only laughs and lets the criminals take Donna away. They take her to their boss, Hood Holway, who announces he plans to hold her for ransom. For real. Green Lantern and Doiby tag along to rectify their mistake, and after beating up Holway and his gang, tell Donna in no uncertain terms she's a brat and needed this kind of experience to show her what happens if she plays with fire. Her uncle, upon hearing that the kidnapping was originally her idea, also chews Donna out and forces her to get a demanding job in a war industry. Donna assures everyone she really has changed for the better, and drags Doiby off on a date for being the only man who hasn't been cruel to her.

After his latest performance, Sargon finds himself confronted in his dressing room by Dimmick, a small-time hood who wants to join forces. Sargon offers his usual claim that he doesn't have real magic powers, but Dimmick's kept up on his exploits and knows better, and Sargon's forced to use his magic to save himself by turning Dimmick's gun into chocolate cake. Fleeing from the wizard, Dimmick finds a book of black magic in his hideout without explanation. He uses a ritual in it to summon the nether-spirit Demonio, who fuses his body with Dimmick's and gives him magic powers.

Dimmick kills his boss and takes over the gang, but when he tries to lead them in a bank robbery finds himself surrounded by an army of Sargons. Demonio sees he's outmatched and flees back to Hell, leaving Dimmick on his own when he's put on trial by a judge and jury of Sargons. Realizing what a horrible mistake he made, Dimmick wishes he could've done it differently and Sargon commands him to wake up.
