Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Gotham's Golden Jubilee"

Knodar's been put in a museum as a living curiosity: the last living criminal. He easily escapes after the tour group leaves and steals an antique time machine from the museum to travel to the 23rd century, planning to join forces with the legendary female thief, the Black-Eyed Bandit.

Meanwhile, Alan Scott's covering Gotham City's Golden Jubilee, remarking it really looks like "the city of the future". He also interviews starlet Ann Hunt, who talks about the "Jubilee Mystery Girl", and whoever identifies her will win a fabulous prize. When Alan realizes he's been struck by the Mystery Girl--finding a golden key slipped surreptitiously into his pocket--he hurries off to power up his ring and become Green Lantern so his studio can get the publicity for identifying the Mystery Girl.

Meanwhile, Knodar arrives at the end of his time trip, and mistakes the 40's "city of the future" for the 23rd century he was aiming for. He spots Ann Hunt, who's the Jubilee Mystery Girl, and mistakes her for the Black-Eyed Bandit. She takes him to receive the Key to the City, the prize for winning the contest, and Knodar eagerly follows along, thinking they're about to pull off a historic crime instead. He easily snatches the key and fends off the guards by melting their guns with a futuristic device, but is very dismayed to find his old enemy Green Lantern flying around looking for the mystery girl in what Knodar thinks should be long after Green Lantern's dead and buried. Knodar's convinced of Ann's desire to help him when she accidentally knocks the hero out by hitting him with the oversized prize key.

After recovering, Lantern and Doiby go to broadcast at the Jubilee Ball that evening, putting on futuristic costumes and Lantern using his ring to make Goitrude look like a futuristic supercar. Knodar robs the attendees at the ball, and tries to conjure a cage out of thin air with his device when Lantern and Doiby reveal themselves. They escape that trap, but he knocks them unconscious and puts them inside a giant radio to be fried by the heat of its enormous vacuum tubes. Ann steals Knodar's metal-controlling gizmo and traps him with it before freeing Doiby and Green Lantern, who uses his ring to send Knodar back to his prison in the future. Back home again, the only conclusion Knodar can arrive at is there's Green Lanterns all throughout history, and he's better off staying in jail!
