Bizarro was the end result of Lex Luthor's attempt to create a clone of Superman that he could control.
History
Unfortunately, something went wrong with the duplication ray Luthor used and the clone came out... wrong. Warped both physically and mentally, Bizarro wants nothing more than to be of help to Superman, but sadly his often backwards way of thinking makes him a hindrance to the Man of Steel and his allies.
