Batsprays are part of Batman's equipment in some continuities. They are most prominently used by the Batman of Earth 66, who always carried a vast array of spray containers in his Utility Belt. There are several known types of Batspray with different uses, including amnesia gas and the infamous shark repellent spray.
History
Bat Sprays Arsenal
All gas variants are packed in spray containers:
- Bat-Sleep Gas: For putting someone to sleep, can also be found in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold's Batmobile activated by a big red button.[1][2][3]
- Bat-Wake Gas: To awake people that were sprayed with Batgas.[1][4][5]
- Batnesia Gas: To erase someone's recent memories.[6]
- Oceanic Repellent Batsprays: After spraying the named creature with the right spray, it will lose interest.[7] Known variants are:
- Crocodile Repellent: An altered version of the Oceanic Repellent Batprays that can be used against nile crocodiles (crocodylus niloticus).[9] Batman has also utilized it to fight Killer Croc.[10]
- Bat-Anti-Oil Spray: An instant rust spray that Batman developed to incapacitate the metal gadgets of his enemies. It can also be used effectively against humanoid robots.[11][12]
- Bat Wax Solvent: A spray that can remove wax from human skin with little to no danger.[13]
- Anti-Lethal Fog Batspray: Batman once used this variant to neutralize the gas from Lord Ffogg's lethal fog pellets.[14]
