Synopsis for "The Carpenter's Tale, Part 2 of 2"

The Carpenter defends herself from the Director's henchmen. When the Director finds them, she acts as though she doesn't know anything and was attacked due to a misunderstanding. She storms off because of their “unprofessionalism,” only to be stopped by the Director's personal assistant who offers her a bonus if she stays on the project. She realizes they won't let her go and pretends to be onboard, but really, she reconstructs the deathtraps to protect herself and when the Director explodes a truck with a bloody bat painted on it as promotion, she includes a note for Batman.

Alfred has had enough of Thomas Elliot's schemes regarding Wayne Enterprises after he shut down three research and development divisions important to the Batfamily's operations. Alfred had the divisions reinstated, and now he is cutting Elliot off from everything except public appearances befitting a playboy. Elliot silently swears to bide his time because the next phase is about to begin.

The Director is unable to read the Carpenter's note through his camera, but he realizes she has betrayed him and tries to catch her in the deathtraps she constructed. She is able to outsmart him until Batman comes, and after they work together to defeat the Director and his henchmen, she claims she was abducted and forced to work for the Director without pay. She shows him the Director's scribbled plan to kill her as proof.

Batman apparently believes her and gives her twenty minutes to leave Gotham for good, but on her way out of town, she receives a call from the Broker offering her a job working for Mr. Freeze. She turns around.

Synopsis for "Deja Vu Again (Again)"

Manhunter calls her landline, and when Dylan doesn't pick up, she leaves a message before telling Iron Munro they have to go back because something's wrong. Ramsey hears his mother's message while she is ostensibly standing before him and realizes she isn't really Kate.

Kate and Iron walk into her building to find Thor barking for Ramsey. She sends Iron and Thor in the elevator while she puts on her Manhunter costume and scales the side of the building. She bursts through the window. Jane Doe holds Ramsey, who stomps on her foot and throws her into the wall as the skin Dr. Neely made so she could look like the living Kate Spencer sloughs off. She tries to escape, but meets Iron and Thor as the elevator reaches their floor. Manhunter finally punches her unconscious as the real pizza man arrives.

Everybody is eating pizza together while Ramsey regales them with his victory over Jane Doe, which gets better with each retelling. Kate answers a call from an unknown number, which turns out to be Dick Grayson asking her about that date.
