- Selina Kyle's Black Cat Club is a reference to the Earth 0 Kitty Kat Club from Catwoman (Volume 5) which is currently owned by Catwoman.
- The Brood-Mother referring to the "Sleeper" as "The Doom that Came to Krypton" is obviously a nod to the Elseworlds story, Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham.
- The original massacre of the Amazons by the "Sleeper" mirrors the original invasion of Amazonia by Heracles and his army.
