Artemis is the Greek Goddess of the hunt, Apollo's twin sister, and one of the goddesses responsible for the creation of Wonder Woman.

History

Earth-Two, Queen of the Moon

In her guise as Diana, at her home on Earth's Moon, the immortal is served by several Moon Nymphs. She is friends with Aphrodite and is celebrated by the Amazons of Paradise Island, with their princess named after her. Her twin brother Apollo is mentioned, but only ever seen in flashbacks and spoken about in the past tense.

Mars was able to subdue her and create a trap for Wonder Woman by drugging her wine and relaying "her" orders to her nymphs. Wonder Woman was able to rescue Queen Diana with the aid of Aphrodite.

New Earth, Artemis

Artemis acted as the spiritual head of the five goddesses who created the Amazons and is the central figure in the Amazons' development.
