Synopsis for "End of an Era"
Lex Luthor buys and rebrands the Daily Planet, firing all but five of the paper's current employees including Clark Kent and Ron Troupe but surprisingly not Lois Lane who notes herself that she's done a lot of work to dirty Lexcorp's name and has gotten on Luthor's bad side on many occasions. The Planet's stalwart editor Perry White resigns in protest of the layoffs but helps talk Jimmy Olsen out of following his example, asking him to keep an eye on Luthor for him instead.
Newsboxes which sell the paper start exploding all over the city and Superman takes off to deal with the explosives that have yet to go off while elsewhere Torcher breaks her boyfriend Mike Gunn out of prison.
