About: Judaism and trauma

Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions, and its teachings, philosophies and history are strongly associated with the formation and belief systems of other religions such as Islam and Christianity. Although most modern day Jewish practice is predicated upon Rabbinic Judaism, much of the nuance of Jewish religious belief and practice has developed through a process known as Mesorah (intergenerational transmission), leading to a variety of differing sects and interpretations within the Jewish faith. There are approximately 14 million Jews worldwide, forming 0.2% of the worlds population. The Jewish population is subdivided into primarily Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform Judaism.
