- William Ernest Drummond (born 29 April 1953) is a Scottish artist, musician, writer and record producer. He was the co-founder of late 1980s avant-garde pop group The KLF and its 1990s media-manipulating successor, the K Foundation, with which he famously burned £1 million in 1994. More recent art activities, carried out under Drummond's chosen banner of the Penkiln Burn, include making and distributing cakes, soup, flowers, beds and shoe-shines. More recent music projects include No Music Day, and the international tour of a choir called The17. Drummond is the author of several books about art and music. (en)
- Bill Drummond es guitarrista y músico de diversas bandas, y artista. Nació en , Sudáfrica el 29 de abril de 1953, siendo el hijo de un humilde predicador de la Iglesia de Escocia. Al tener 18 meses, su familia se va a vivir a Escocia, así que pasa la posterior parte de sus primeros años en Newton Stewart. Estudió en una escuela de arte en Liverpool. Allí se vio inmerso en el escenario musical punk, conociendo a y para formar la banda Big In Japan; aprovechando la oportunidad, funda el sello Zoo Records al lado de su también compañero de grupo y adopta el trabajo de productor. En 1978 se separa y forma con Balfe la banda Lori And The Chameleons, la cual lanza sólo dos sencillos. Por esos años se convierte también en mánager de The Teardrop Explodes. Luego forma KLF (es)

Hij werd vooral bekend als onderdeel van de spraakmakende formatie The KLF die in de late jaren tachtig en vroege jaren negentig diverse hits maakte. Nadat hij de muziekindustrie verliet werd hij actief als kunstenaar. Drummond staat bekend om zijn cynische houding ten opzichte van de muziekindustrie en veel van zijn absurde projecten en publiciteitsstunts zijn er op gericht om dit aan de kaak te stellen. (nl)
