- Die NFL-Saison 1987 war die 68. Saison im American Football in der National Football League (NFL). Die Regular Season begann am 13. September 1987 und endete am 28. Dezember 1987. Nach dem zweiten Spieltag rief die Spielergewerkschaft (NFLPA) aufgrund des ausgelaufenen Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), eine Art Tarifvertrag, einen Streik aus. Allerdings spielten ca. 15 % der Profis trotzdem weiter, darunter einige Stars. Der dritte Spieltag wurde abgesagt, die Spieltage 4 bis 6 durch kurzfristig verpflichtete Ersatzspieler durchgeführt. Durch die Presse und die Fans wurden die von diesen Spielern durchgeführten Spiele nicht als reguläre NFL-Spiele angesehen. Meist fanden die Spiele vor weniger als 10.000 Zuschauern statt. ESPN wurde der erste Kabel-TV-Kanal, der NFL-Spiele übertrug. Mit Markus Koch in der Abwehr der Redskins gewann der erste deutsche Feldspieler einen Super Bowl. This remains the last NFL season in which regular-season games were impacted by a labor conflict (as well as the last season when non-union players were used as strike-breaking competitors). The season ended with Super Bowl XXII, with the Washington Redskins defeating the Denver Broncos, 42–10, at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego. - A Temporada de 1987 da NFL foi a 68ª temporada regular da National Football League. Uma greve de 24 dias dos jogadores da liga reduziu a temporada de 16 para 15. Os jogos da terceira semana foram cancelados, mas os jogos das semanas 4-6 foram jogados por outros jogadores. 85% dos jogadores veteranos não se envolveram de nenhuma forma nas atividades dos seus times durante a greve. Os times que usaram jogadores substitutos foram motivo de gozação na liga, recebendo nomes como "Chicago Spare Bears", "San Francisco Phoney Niners", "New Orleans Saint Elsewheres" e "Seattle Sea-scabs".
