"Nathan Oliveira (19 de dezembro de 1928 - 13 de novembro de 2010) foi um pintor, gravador e escultor norte-americano, nascido em Oakland, Calif\u00F3rnia, filho de imigrantes portugueses. Oliveira j\u00E1 foi alvo de quase uma centena de exposi\u00E7\u00F5es individuais desde o final dos anos 1950, para al\u00E9m de ter sido inclu\u00EDda em centenas de exposi\u00E7\u00F5es coletivas em importantes museus e galerias de todo o mundo. Ele ensinou arte em est\u00FAdio por v\u00E1rias d\u00E9cadas na Calif\u00F3rnia, come\u00E7ando no in\u00EDcio dos anos 1950, quando lecionou no California College of Arts and Crafts (agora California College of the Arts ) em Oakland. Depois de servir como Artista Visitante em v\u00E1rias universidades, ele se tornou Professor de Studio Art na Universidade de Stanford . Em 1999 Nathan Oliveira foi distinguido com o Grau de Distin\u00E7\u00E3o de \u201CComandante\u201D na \u201COrdem do Infante D. "Nathan Oliveira (December 19, 1928 \u2013 November 13, 2010) was an American painter, printmaker, and sculptor, born in Oakland, California to immigrant Portuguese parents. Since the late 1950s, Oliveira has been the subject of nearly one hundred solo exhibitions, in addition to having been included in hundreds of group exhibitions in important museums and galleries worldwide. He taught studio art for several decades in California, beginning in the early 1950s, when he taught at the California College of Arts and Crafts (now California College of the Arts) in Oakland. After serving as a Visiting Artist at several universities, he became a Professor of Studio Art at Stanford University."@en .
