I noticed a few days ago a new view counter on my items and there was a pop-up about a new way to count views (is this new for everyone or have others already had this for awhile?).... and now many of my items have very little & some have even ZERO views...what gives? what is the point of listing if nobody can see my items anymore? 😞

It's not just views. Sales dropped off a cliff this week.

Having the same problem. Typically lots of views and watchers and now almost Nothing. Maybe not worth it anymore

On an eBay group on FB someone has the same issue and they spoke with eBay and they are aware of the glitch and currently working on it. I list everyday and I'm getting no views and no sales! Has never happened to me! eBay did not flat out say it's affecting sales, I doubt they would admit to that but it definitely is for some people. You are not the only one. Hang in there.

Yeah, been wondering this for days, amongst MANY other things. eBay is a LOSER place to sell. My final conclusion.

Correct, you will never get that may views because of what you are selling, because you only a have a couple thing listed, because of low demand, and because the counter just recently reset. You will not get much more views no matter where you list, you are dreaming if you think otherwise.

If that person was on the phone, they were not talking to an eBay employee, but to a subcontractor.
That's one reason that phoning eBay gets you a lot of bad advice.

Yes! Thank you. Off the Cliff is exactly where they went. I called ebay support no help at all. I increased promotion % rate. Its awful.

I am contemplating moving to Etsy or anywhere else.

I noticed a drastic shift May 8-9. It has not changed back. With all the time and effort put into this, really is not worth it.

I am totally with you on that. Suffering from the same recent move and regret the change (with no backwards compatibility). They even are dropping the HitCOunt from the eBay API services - which indicates they do not really care how the users are using the data. New Views counter (at the moment) seem to be useless and unreliable- the way I find them.

Only saying this to give you some outside perspective, and obviously other people might feel differently. I checked out your 15 listings (which also, the more you list, the better chance you have of selling) looking at your items and what they are priced at, they seem VERY high priced.
Not saying you won’t find someone willing to pay, anything is possible, but if you aren’t getting any sales, maybe you are listing things out of the ballpark of their worth?
Have you searched the item you’re trying to sell on ebay, then gone under search options, checked for “completed sales” and seen what people have actually paid for the item.
It all depends too on how willing you are to hold onto the item for that price you have listed.
The completed sales means SO much more to me than other active listings, which are still important, don’t get me wrong.
I can’t think of a specific example, but I know there have been times, let’s say a video game is actively listed for $200 you first see, but then you see it’s regularly only actually selling for $75.
So someone is sitting, waiting and hoping someone is gonna buy their $200 listing when there are a bunch of other listings all under $100 for the same thing.
I don’t want to be the $200 guy wasting my time and space!
Hope this helps! Happy selling! 🙂

This really makes me mad. Can ebay say for sure that some of the views they don't count anymore are bots, etc and not actual viewers. (like sometimes email will thow something in the spam box and it is a perfectly good piece of email). I think they are making a big mistake restricting and being selective as to who views our listings. Can buyers also see our views? I certainly hope not! Ebay better figure out a way to get more views to our items or they're going to be losing their sellers - it's demoralizing!

Hi,
yes I agree with you suddenly my views dropped from high numbers to zero! Hello eBay are you being fair to your sellers with all the time we put into listing these items to suddenly show zero interest in them. Buyers are drawn to items with high number views NOT zero!!
Besides making these changes without consulting with your sellers leaves a bad taste in my mouth-WHO gave you the OK to change my views without my consent! Getting a bit too powerful for your own good-without your sellers where will you be!

Same for me 0 sales day 5. Not normal in my category. Just hang up Ebay call. No solution

The views are for the past 30 days. So you can have watchers but 0 views if the watchers were from the previous 30 days cycle.
