With the upcoming tariff induced price hikes coming along with the inevitable USPS price increase I suspect these boards are going to explode.
I do like a good train wreck.

USPS holiday surcharge timeframe extends to the January price changes, so I don't think we'll see any more shipping rate complaints than we usually do during the annual Jan price change.
We may even see fewer complaints this year since last year USPS didn't apply the holiday surcharge, making the Jan changes more impactful.
Also last year there were issues with the introduction of cubic rates on eBay and tons of sellers caught off guard when buyers were charged lower cubic rates because sellers didn't have accurate dimensions on their listings - something that didn't impact those sellers much in the past.
Not saying there won't be complaints, just don't think they will "explode" or equate to a "train wreck" over Jan shipping rate changes.
Inventory costs are a separate issue.

I have seen a lot of buyers different places complaining of sellers charging “outrageous” shipping prices and they shouldn’t have to pay $7-8 shipping on 1 ounce item and sellers pocket the money while others get free shipping. They do not realize the cost of shipping and that Ebay sellers do not receive free shipping. I had a seller of same category message me wanting an item and saying my shipping price is not okay and I should be shipping collectible vintage cards with a stamp or no more than $2 shipping. That is not the base level of shipping costs. They are not factoring in tax either.
A lot of them do not know Ebay takes 13–15% of the price of shipping in addition to the 13-15% of item sold price including taxes. I do know how the sellers marking free shipping are surviving or profiting.I see sellers with $2-10 items with free shipping. Some of these items are over a 1 lb in weight.
With current shipping prices, that increase 1-2x annually in USA, buyers will not want to purchase items under $20 because of the shipping price being same price or more. That is how some of them view shipping when purchasing and are discussing it different places on the internet.

For me it's cheaper to pay shipping than take a couple hours for B&M shopping. I usually end up spending an additional money on other crap.

We have experienced tariffs and USPS price increases before.
We have also experienced threats of tariffs that were all talk and that never actually materialized, so your popcorn may go stales as you wait for them.

Exactly but the meltdowns will be plentiful and joyless. 😪
They have already started and nothing has changed yet. 😂

Well this being the US board you do have a front row seat.

There is a definite train wreck coming, but i don't think it's the one your thinking!

It's always a train wreck around here - the question is how many cars.

Now that Trump is in again there's no hope we'll see the end of DeJoy

Well good ... because you (and all Americans) are about to get a rude awakening.
It's going to be a rough next couple of years.
We have a lot of austerity to work through here.
There will be hunger, mass exodus, civil unrest.
Not quite "Mad Max" level .... but, bad.
Hope you can find popcorn, and when you do can find enough money to buy it.

I would not necessarily agree with that. He has demonstrated the ability to remove people in positions (if applicable) before where the current administration HAS chosen to keep him which is telling. Which is worse, picking the wrong person or keeping them in that position? YMMV
Time will tell.

Like many companies and organizations, the Postal Service has a board that oversees operations. This board is called the Board of Governors. One of its roles is to select the Postmaster General. The Board of Governors itself is made up of as many as nine governors, who are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. No more than five governors at any one time may be from the same political party. The governors select and have the authority to remove the Postmaster General.
Oh, do tell. Nice try.
