Did this change in the last few days? Now you have to purposely make it a preference to show how many of any item you have. I changed the default to allow buyers to see how many are available this morning. It's still not showing but may take a day or two to roll over. Most of my silverware buyers want multiple place settings and the quantity it can make or break a sale.
Is it just me or do they just keep making things more complicated?

Hey @toysaver! We apologize about the technical issue that yourself and others are experience with the quantity of items. There is a sitewide ticket that is open to have this resolved under ALERT15418.

Check out this thread:
I am getting different views depending on which browser I am using. Maybe a test?
I have my selling preference setting toggled on to show available quantities. I double checked it and it is still toggled on, so there is no change there.
Send feedback from the listing page to let eBay know your thoughts.

The only choice I've seen to make has been the actual qty or "more than 10" and that's only if the qty av is OVER 10

I just checked some of my listings from another ID and as far as I can tell mine (on any ID) are still showing the correct qty av (if under 10) and "more than 10" if I have say 40

This is what I see using Chrome. The only way to see how many are available is to keep changing the number in the quantity box. I started with 15 and I saw enter a lower amount. I continued to lower the amount until I reached 9 to know that 9 items were available. Some buyers may think only one is available and not go through changing the quantity as I did.
This is what I see using Firefox. This view is much better.

Thank-you, I'll just use my supernatural powers to let any prospective buyers to know what browser to use.
Honestly it seems when any sort of preference change is made the default should automatically be the current setting. It makes ebay look unprofessional and unorganized to do the reverse.

I just had a buyer order 5 place settings so the world works in mysterious ways.

I agree. Woe is me, I lack supernatural powers.
This is like the previous change (eBay speak - Improvement) to showing sellers total sales this way vs an actual accurate number:

The issue "seems" to be resolved. Did make 1 interesting observation during recent testing. It worked fine....but only if you only had 1 item left. Otherwise it was a total guessing game. (using chrome on pc).
Now, what will be broken next!! Spoken like a true optimist that i used to be!!! 😅
