Price question

I received an offer from a seller for MORE than what the BIN price is.  How is that even possible?

Re: Price question

Oh, this was a seller initiated offer.

I'll have to look up the listing but best guess is the offer was sent when item was listed at its full price, and the seller put it on sale after the offer was sent.

That's why the offer amount is lower than original and higher than sale price.

Re: Price question

Perhaps they lowered the original price after they sent the offer?

Edit: Forgot they can't do that as the listing is locked for price change.

Nah, they can do it here because they didn't lower the price on the listing. They ran a sale event. There's a difference.

Re: Price question

I have encountered that too.   eBay's software does not error trap that.   So, a seller can enter any amount.
