My initial account was setup as an individual account. I would like to change it to a business account, however, under account settings/account type there is no edit button to make this change. How can I change this so I can begin selling?

You can just start listing. You do not need a business account. 

You will need to connect a checking account to your eBay account, so you can be paid.
