Scrappy Knits and Knitting Patterns / Jen on Instagram: "A little Saturday tutorial ☝🏻😊 I get a lot of questions about how I add a new yarn to my scrappy socks. This is how I do it ⬆️⬆️⬆️ I tried lots of other methods and I like this way best, even though I have to sew a million ends afterwards 😅 (I don’t mind). If you just starting to knit scrappy socks you could try adding a new yarn this way - or do a little research and find a way that is best for you. Or you could get my Scrappy Socks and How to Knit Them Instructions and find out about other methods (with linked videos). Stephanie | KNITS & CRAFTS & DIYS on Instagram: "There are so many ways to start a new ball of yarn (and most of them are much better than a simple knot). The advantage here: no need to sew the ends 💪🏻 This one I like to use for projects that have a front and back side (like a jumper 👕 you will never see the inner side) and not so much for projects where you would see both sides (like a scarf 🧣) #Knit #KnittingTips #KnittersOfInstagram #knitting #Crochet #knittinghacks #CreatedBySteph #CreatorsOfInstagram #Creativity #Yarn #newballofyarn" Knitting Tricks, Crochet Edgings, Knitting Hacks, Ball Of Yarn, Crochet Edging, Knitting Techniques, Knitting Crochet, Knitting Yarn, Both Sides

Rosemary (Romi) Hill on Instagram: "Hello hello, my knitting friends! A lovely knitter asked about a good bind-off for seed stitch, so that’s what I’ve got for you today! This is the Icelandic bind-off, and I adore it for seed stitch just as much as for garter stitch. It blends in perfectly with the purl bumps and creates what almost looks like a rolled edge. I absolutely love the way it looks, the way it stretches, and the way it leaves a nice substantial and stable bind-off edge. I find that, by leaving my needle in as above, I never bind off too tight. But if you feel like you want more stretch, you can go up a needle size. I hope you’ll try it and let me know what you think! 💕 .
