Sam Hornish Jr. reaches the finish line to win Saturday night's Sprint Showdown
For the second straight year
Sam Hornish Jr.
has raced his way into the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race.
Hornish won the Sprint Showdown qualifying race Saturday to make it into the main event as one of the top two finishers. Jamie McMurray was second and will also race in the All-Star event.
Last year Hornish finished second in the Showdown.
Joey Logano also made it into the All-Star race by winning the fan vote. Last year's fan vote winner, Kasey Kahne, went on to win the race.
Earlier in the burnout contest Kevin Harvick was voted the winner by a panel of judges.
