Gunnar Hans Nordbye
Gunnar Hans Nordbye (1888-1977) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
He received a recess appointment from President Herbert Hoover on March 18, 1931 to fill a seat created by 46 Stat. 431. On December 16th of that year, he was nominated. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 3, 1932, and received commission on February 10th. From 1948 to 1959 he was the chief judge. On March 6, 1967, he assumed senior status. He continued to serve in this capacity until his death on November 5, 1977.
