Continuing Legal Education (CLE) refers to class requirements for attorneys in the United States after they are admitted to the bar. The CLE, or MCLE (Mandatory Continuing Legal Education), requirements vary by state, but usually consist of a set number of class-hours that attorneys must take throughout the years in order to maintain their legal practice. Such classes are offered by state bar associations, the American Bar Association, law schools and various other groups.[1]
