About the Journal
Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society is one of the world's leading primary research journals in astronomy and astrophysics, as well as one of the longest established. It publishes the results of original research in positional and dynamical astronomy, astrophysics, radio astronomy, cosmology, space research and the design of astronomical instruments.
The journal is fully open access (as of 01 January 2024) and online only. It is listed in the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), which indexes and promotes quality, peer-reviewed open access journals from around the world, upholding the reputation for advocating best practices and standards in open access journals. With MNRAS indexed in DOAJ, we showcase our respectability and prominence.
