Entsprechend der Thematik wurde die Figur in einer Haltung dargestellt, die es selbst ohne Kleidung erlauben würde keine primären Geschlechtsorgane abbilden zu müssen. Die Kleidung selbst ist kurz, mehr oder weniger eng anliegend und transparent, was in etwa den gleichen Effekt ergibt wie etwa durchnässte Kleidung. Den Hintergrund bildet ein blauer Himmel zusammen mit einem Baum zur Kirschblüte, was ein häufig genutztes Motiv in Anime und Manga ist.[1] Die Szene selbst wird im Dutch Angle präsentiert, was es je nach Gestaltung erlaubt verschiedene Effekte zu erzielen. Einer von ihnen ist die Ausnutzungmöglichkeit der Länge der Diagonale, wodurch die zentrale Person größer dargestellt und damit auch stärker in den Mittelpunkt des Geschehens gestellt werden kann.
Im japanischen Slang kann Etchi nahezu alles bezeichnen was als schmutzig, unanständig, frivol oder schlicht pervers angesehen wird. Der Unterton des Wortes ist jedoch milder als hentai und wird nicht im gleichen Maße als beleidigend angesehen. Darüber hinaus bezeichnet Etchi ein Genre (teilweise auch als Stil bezeichnet) in Manga und Animes in dem (weibliche) Charaktere, die in sehr enger, kurzer, durchscheinender, verrutschter oder auch zerrissener Kleidung dargestellt werden. Dies wird häufig auch als zügelloser Fanservice umschrieben. Dabei werden jedoch nie Geschlechtsverkehr oder primäre Geschlechtsorgane gezeigt,hingegen wird oft mit Suggestionen gearbeitet, die sich in komödiantischen Werken in erster Linien an einen männlichen Protagonisten richten. Ebenso finden sich auch einzelne Abbildung (wie in diesem Fall), die eine Bishōjo in einer anreizenden Pose darstellen.
Das Bild wurde mit dem Vektorgrafikprogramm Inkscape erstellt, das SVG als natives Speicherformat verwendet. SVG macht es sehr einfach Teile des Bildes wiederzuverwenden oder zu verändern, ohne dabei Qualität zu verlieren. Dennoch existiert auch ein Export als PNG von diesem Bild, der anstelle dieses SVGs in den Artikeln verwendet werden sollte. Der Renderer librsvg, der von Wikimedia eingesetzt wird, besitzt nämlich Darstellungsprobleme bei aufwändigeren Dateien, so dass gerade bei Thumbnails wichtige Bildbestandteile ignoriert werden oder Filter nicht korrekt berechnet werden. Mit etwas Glück wird das irgendwann einmal behoben oder ein besserer Renderer verwendet.
English: This is a drawing of female figure with typical elements from manga and anime to illustrate the term and genre ecchi. Regarding this topic the girl is drawn in a position that would enable it to leave out the clothes entirely without showing any primary sexual characteristics. The clothes itself are a partially transparent dress, which is as common as wet clothes. The background shows a blue sky with a blossom sakura tree, which is a fairly often used motif in manga and anime.[1] The scene itself is represented in dutch angle, which exploits the length of the diagonal, thus laying the focus on the character itself.
In Japanese slang, ecchi denotes everything that can be seen as "dirty", "naughty", "frivolous" or "perverted", but the undertone is milder and not usually seen as insulting as the term "hentai". The term ecchi also denotes a fairly common genre/aspect of manga and anime which features (female) characters in tight, very short, nearly transparent, askew clothing, which is often seen as "rampant fan service". It doesn't show any sexual intercourse or primary sexual characteristics, but plays with suggestions − usually found in comedic Shōnen/Seinen manga, harem anime or bishōjo (美少女, literally "beautiful young girl") illustrations.
The image itself was created with Inkscape, a vector graphics program which directly supports SVG as the native storage format, making it very easy to create variations of this image, since every part can be reused without loss of quality. Note that an PNG version is available since not all SVG renderers are capable of displaying the image correctly. librsvg, the current renderer used by Wikimedia, has some technical issues with thumbnails and filters, which hopefully will be fixed in future.
فارسی: این نگاره دختری را به تصویر می‌کشد که دارای عناصر انیمه و مانگا است و برای توضیح واژه ایتچی مورد استفاده قرار می‌گیرد. در ایتچی دختران به گونه‌ای تصویر می‌شوند که با وجود آنکه می‌توانند لباس از تن بیرون آورده باشند ولی اندام‌های جنسی‌شان پیدا نیست. پوشیدن لباس‌های نازک و یا خیس معمولا در این تکنیک به کار می‌آیند. پس زمینه‌هایی با آسمان آبی و درختان پرشکوفه ساکورا، همانند که در انیمه و مانگا، در این تصاویر کار می‌شود. تصاویر دارای زاویه هلندی (عکس از پایین و زاویه کج) بوده و تمام قد را به نشان می‌دهند و نقطه فوکوس بر روی خود سوژه است.
در ژاپنی ایتچی به هر چیزی که «منحرف کننده»، «شیطنت آمیز» و «ناپاک» باشد گفته می‌شود ولی این واژه‌ای معتدل است و به اندازه هنتای وقیحانه نیست. این واژه همچنین به مانگا و انیمه‌هایی که در آن شخصیت‌های مونث با لباس‌هایی تنگ، بسیار کوتاه یا نیمه شفاف ظاهر .می‌شوند، گفته می‌شود. در چنین تصاویری هرگز آمیزش یا اعضای اصلی جنسی به نمایش در نمی‌آیند و فقط با اشاره چیزهایی می‌گویند
